The Book of Sonia

Asocial even as a young child, the odd-girl-out Sonia Darkin grew up in Icirrus City, Unova, with only a mother, a Sawk for a father and a Zorua for a sister. Her father worked as an inventor in the Kanto region, but as a solo inventor was under constant pressure from the organisation Silph Co.. Sonia was ostracised mainly because of her incredible Psychic power, a gift which was considered by many to be a curse. Sonia was lucky; the Unova region was mostly pro-Psychic, unlike the extremely anti-Psychic Johto region. Her life was impacted irrevocably when, at the age of six, she entered Dragonspiral Tower. Previously, all those who entered never came out; but Sonia, even as a young girl, managed. But not unaffected; when she returned she held within her a new and darker personality that emerged whenever she let her emotions become too prevalent or used her power too much. At the age of twelve she and her patchwork family moved to Saffron City, Kanto, finally to meet her father, only to hear he had tragically died. After two years of Psychic training under Sabrina herself (gaining the Grade Alpha qualification, the highest level of power) Sonia finally set out on a late journey at the age of fourteen.
